One of the most important fasteners in carpentry, joinery, carpentry, interior finishing and many other woodworking trades is the screw. Here you should not save in the wrong place: High-quality work should not be screwed with cheap goods for both functional and aesthetic reasons. The German manufacturer HECO is one of the market leaders for wood screws. Its products are characterised by innovative technological concepts and high material and manufacturing quality.

All-rounder for woodworking and special screws for MDF

We offer two types of screws from the manufacturer HECO, which are suitable for general work in solid wood and wood materials of all kinds (HECO-TOPIX-plus) and for screw connections in MDF boards (HECO-UFIX). Both screws have a number of features that are not found in other manufacturers' products and make working with the screws easier, faster and more precise.

HECO-TOPIX-plus screws

The HECO-TOPIX-plus is the all-rounder among the screws of the manufacturer HECO. We offer the screws blue galvanised and depending on the drive and head geometry in diameters from 2.5 mm to 6.0 mm and lengths from 10 mm to 120 mm. You will find the right screw for filigree carpentry work as well as for larger material dimensions, for example in carpentry and wood construction. If required, other materials, temperings and dimensions are also available, please contact our customer service (info@sautershop.de).

The HECO-TOPIX-plus is available in the following head types: combination hexagon head, lens head, round head, countersunk head, plate head, plate head XL and cylinder head. This covers the most frequently required head shapes in the field of carpentry, joinery, interior finishing and carpentry. In addition to the Pozidriv and T-Drive (Torx) drive types, the in-house development HECO-Drive is also available. It is a further development of the Torx drive that uses a special geometry to ensure that the screw is not held magnetically in the bit holder (as is usually the case), but mechanically due to friction between the bit and the drive. In this way, even non-magnetic stainless steel screws can be safely screwed in with one hand.

  • GripFit: The HECO-Drive principle keeps even stainless steel screws securely connected to the bit for convenient one-handed operation.
  • MagicClose: The patented full thread of HECO screws joins timber fixtures together with no gaps and no prestressing.
  • PerfectPitch: Optimal thread pitch for every screw lenght.

HECO-UFIX screws

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) presents the woodworker with special challenges when screwing in narrow edges. Due to the structure of the board, a normal screw that is screwed in on the face side splits the material or bulges it considerably.

The HECO-UFIX has a drill point with milling ribs that centres the screw when you put it in. Then the drill tip clears out a lot of material when it is screwed in, preventing the panel from splitting. Subsequently, the HECO-plus serration cuts a thread in the front thread area of the screw. The matching diameters of the screw thread and the hole ensure an optimum combination of holding force and protection against splitting.

We offer the HECO-UFIX blue galvanised in 3.5 mm to 4.5 mm diameters and in lengths from 40 mm to 50 mm, each with countersunk head and HECO-Drive.
