FAQ, Videos and more

Here you will find circular saw blades for sawing aluminium, plasticsand NE metals. These saw blades can also be used for sawing mineral materials (Corian), HPL (Resopal), Plexiglas, but also partly for thin sheets, sandwich materials, coated panel materials, fibre cement panels or even aerated concrete blocks.

Circular saw blades can also be used for sawing Silicon.

All circular saw blades in this category are suitable for professionals and offer the highest quality.

Special requirements when sawing non-ferrous metals and plastics.

Non-ferrous metals include non-ferrous metals and light metals. Aluminium is also a light metal, but plays a larger role than the others and is therefore most often mentioned separately. These metals are usually harder than wood and wood-based materials. They therefore place different demands on the circular saw blade than wood. Many plastics are also harder than wood and wood-based materials and can be sawn with the same saw blades.

Saw blades for aluminium profiles and mitre saws

Of the non-ferrous metals, aluminium is by far the most commonly used in the woodworking shop. This is particularly true of aluminium profiles, which are available in a wide variety of forms and are often used, for example, for the construction of jigs and fixtures and as inserts in work tables. Due to the elongated shape of these profiles, the mitre saw is particularly suitable for processing them. Using a high-quality circular saw blade, it can cut the profiles absolutely square and with high cutting quality to the desired length. Tubes made of non-ferrous metals and plastics can also be cut to length well on the mitre saw with these circular saw blades if you ensure that the workpiece is held securely.

Saw blades for plastics and non-ferrous metals

For the processing of plastics and other non-ferrous metals (such as brass or copper) in flat form (plates or sheets), the corresponding saw blades are usually used in the circular table saw or the circular hand saw.

For most non-ferrous metals, it is advisable to use a lubricant for saw blades (e.g. TRENDIWAX) to reduce heat build-up, which can lead to deformation of the saw blade.
