CNC production has long since gained a firm foothold in industrial furniture manufacturing, following in the footsteps of the metal and plastics processing industries. In this sector, the focus is on precision and efficient processes in large-scale production. The San Francisco-based company Shaper takes a different approach. It has developed the world's first CNC milling machine for mobile, hand-held use, thus making this manufacturing technology accessible to tradespeople and private users. The Shaper Origin consists of a router that can be controlled using a touchscreen with the appropriate software, enabling perfect milling of any contours, engravings and wood joints (even without CAD knowledge). Designs can be created directly on the machine, but it is also possible to import them from existing files from CAD or drawing programs.

Shaper Origin Accessories

The range of accessories for the Origin includes, of course, the necessary cutters in various versions and sizes, but also the Plate template for a wide range of milling jobs and the Workstation clamping solution, which is perfectly matched to work with the Shaper Origin. The Workstation can be attached to the workbench in the workshop, but can also be used on the construction site as a mobile workstation for milling with the Origin.
